  • Excavator Manuals are now available to view ON THE GO in both English and Spanish! Visit Georgia811.com and select Excavator Manuals under the Laws & Policies tab, or click here.
  •

  • Georgia 811’s mascot Digger Dog and Education Administrator Maria Copeland missed visiting your school last year! While taking into consideration COVID-19 precautions, Georgia 811 still wants to help spread the important safety message of contacting 811 before you dig with your students.

This Spring Ms. Maria and Digger will travel throughout Georgia to drop off educational materials directly to your front office staff to distribute to 2nd and 3rd graders. Drop-off procedures will follow your School Board’s requirements with regards to masking, social distance, and hand sanitizing; and drop-offs can be done outside of the school building. If you would like to share educational resources with your students, please contact Maria Copeland at mcopeland@Georgia811.com or 770-757-6467.

  • Get Ready for APRIL Proclamations – Once again Georgia 811 will be providing an opportunity to sponsor your UCC luncheon if you secure 2 proclamations that proclaim APRIL as SAFE DIGGING MONTH by your city, county, local fire department or by having the company you work for add the Georgia 811 logo to their home page for the entire month of April. Two proclamations equal $250 and 4 proclamations will equal $500. We hope that UCC meetings will pick back up this year, and this is a way to plan ahead for when you do start meeting again. Lunch winners will be announced at the Georgia 811 Annual meeting.
