Vendor and Sponsorship Opportunities for the Georgia 811 Summit

Georgia 811 is seeking vendors and sponsors for the inaugural Georgia 811 Summit on Thursday, October 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hilton Northeast in Peachtree Corners. The event will include networking opportunities, a panel discussion, and training on various topics such as updates to the Dig Law and how to use the new member reporting tool Thoughtspot.  Vendors will have opportunities to engage with stakeholders directly and in a Vendor Spotlight session. Sponsorships are available at various price points and will include promotion of sponsorship companies online and on-site.

Registration Date Announced for Summit

Online registration will open for the Georgia 811 Summit on 811 Day, August 11. Participation is free of charge and includes a light breakfast and lunch buffet. Keep a lookout in your inbox for an invitation to register for the October 6 event, or check back here on August 11 for a registration link on the Georgia 811 website.

 

 

Locate Training Available

Staking University is coming to Georgia! Staking University will offer 1-Day Locating Seminars on Wednesday, October 5, and on Friday, October 7. The training will take place at the Georgia 811 Office in Duluth and will help locators develop a variety of skills including superior troubleshooting techniques, skills to consistently provide accurate and complete utility location information, and a mastery of locate equipment. 811 Day Proclamations

Cities and counties are encouraged to secure local proclamations of 811 Day using resources on the 811 Day page. Securing a local proclamation and sharing it on social media is a great way to spread the safe digging message. Georgia 811 also offers up to $500 towards a UCC lunch when UCC members acquire local proclamations. UCCs who earn two credits by September 1 of each year are awarded $250 towards a UCC lunch at the Georgia 811 Summit. UCCs who earn four credits by September 1 can earn $500 towards a lunch.
