Utilities Protection Center, Inc., D/B/A Georgia 811 (“GA811”) respect your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Policy explains GA811’s policies and procedures regarding personal and other information about our members (and excavators who contact us pursuant to GA law to provide excavation notifications) that we collect and why, what we do with that information, and how we share it. We take reasonable steps to maintain privacy, where practicable, but we cannot and do not guarantee a particular result, either in general or in a given instance.

This Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with information that we collect through our websites, software applications, social media pages, e-mail messages, or personal information that you otherwise provide to GA811. By providing personal information to us or by using our products or services, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.


Services: Georgia 811’s Websites, EDEN System, Contact Center.
Content: any information or data that you upload, submit, post, create, transmit, store or display in a GA811 Service.
Excavator: any person or entity contacting GA811 to obtain a locate request.
Information: all of the different forms of data, content, and information collected by us as described in this Privacy Policy.
Member: any person or entity who is a member of GA811.
Personal Information: information that may be used to readily identify or contact you as an individual person, such as: name, address, email address, or phone number. Personal Information does not include information that has been anonymized such that it does not allow for the ready identification of specific individuals.

Websites: GA811’s websites, including but not limited to Georgia811.com, DiggerDog811.com, LocateRodeo.com, LocateExcellance.com, eden.GAUPC.com, EDEN811.com and any related websites, sub-domains and pages.

Information That We May Collect

We collect information from members, excavators and others that can be used to contact or identify you and to fulfill GA811’s general and specific operational purposes. Personal information includes, inter alia, your name, home and business mailing addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, payment card, or other billing information, social media account. We also collect information regarding member facility location(s) and excavator activity. This includes content and information obtained from other sources.

How We May Use Information:

We control access to information, including taking steps to restrict access to personal information to individuals within GA811 who need such information to perform their jobs. We may use the information for a variety of reasons related to our operations.

How We May Share Information:

Information we collect may be disclosed to third parties when we deem it necessary in order for them to perform services on our behalf or on behalf of members and excavators, and when obliged to do so by law.

How We May Collect or Share Information That Does Not Personally Identify You

We may also collect and share information that cannot, on its own, be used to identify you. We and our third party service providers may collect such information in a variety of ways, GA811 may use or share non-identifying information, such as for operational or research purposes, for industry analysis, to improve our products and services, to better tailor our products and services to your needs, and where legally required.


This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy policies, disclosure policies, information gathering and use policies, or other policies and practices of any third parties, including, but not limited to, those of any third party operating any site or service to which the Services link. The inclusion of a link on the Services does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us or any third party, nor does it imply an affiliation with the third party.


We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect information within our organization and contained within our websites. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account with us has been compromised), please immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us in accordance with the “Contact” section below.

Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to and receive information about the personal information we maintain about you, update and correct inaccuracies in your personal information, and have the information blocked or deleted, as appropriate. If you would like to review, correct, update, suppress, or delete personal information that has been previously provided to us by you, you may contact us at the address below.

Please note that we may need to and will retain certain information for recordkeeping or legal compliance purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting such change or deletion (e.g., when you make a purchase or enter a promotion, you may not be able to change or delete the personal information provided until after the completion of such purchase or promotion). There also may be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed.

Retention Period

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.


We may change this Privacy Policy at our discretion at any time. Please take a look at the “Last Updated” legend at the bottom of this page to see when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Services. By using the Services or otherwise providing personal information to us following these changes, you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
