The Georgia Dig Law is Changing on September 1

On Thursday, September 1, the Georgia Dig Law has changes going into effect that you will notice when submitting or calling in a ticket. Georgia 811 has online training available in both English and Spanish to explain the updates. The 20-minute training is free, online and recommended for all excavators and utility owners/operators. Stakeholders can also request live training by filling out the Liaison Training Request Form at the link below.

Georgia 811 to Observe Labor Day

Georgia 811 offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 5, 2022. During this time the Contact Center will be accepting locate requests for damages and emergencies only. Please plan your work accordingly.

Georgia 811 Damage Prevention Summit – Register Now!

1-Day Locating Training Available

Thanks to Georgia 811’s Summit Partner Staking University, 1-Day Locating Seminars are available in conjunction with the Summit. There are two remaining seats available for the training on Friday, October 7, held at the Georgia 811 office. Thanks to the City of Lawrenceville, an additional day of training has been added on Tuesday, October 4, and will be held at the City of Lawrenceville Public Works Office.
